It poured. Like torrential styles. I had to stop at the super first to grab food and visit the bank, it took an hour on account of the rain and, well just the rain. When I eventually dragged my drowned self into the car, it was 2 and raining harder and hard. The usual 25 minutes to the Bombays took 40 because it was raining so much noone could see where they were going.
the problem with testing an unknown driving route is you end up adding lots of time to the journey. I've done Tauranga to Mums in 2 hours and 10, we left home at 1, and didn't arrive at Roses till 5.15. gheyballs. Her and Rod have moved to a new place, I like it alot, has a much better feel I think but its 3km further than the last house but its closer to the beach.
Shes 28 weeks now with a little girl, not that you can tell, severe nausea lost her 10kgs so shes pretty small in the tummy. Her mum was in town from England too, so it was nice to see grandma Paula after about 3 years away. I haven't been to Papamoa since July to stay, its good for the kids to see each other and keep up their bond, Rose and I will always have that, I think 22 years of friendship makes it so.
Thought it would be a good destination for a whanau holiday actually, rent a house down there for a week and enjoy the beaches, only an hour to Rotorua for fun activities, plus friends to barbeque with at nights :)
