Last year I went to the doctor and had a winge about my thyroid, they oohed at my swollen revolting neck and told me they'd take blood out of my arm and follow that sucker up!
wotever.
they took the blood and then sent me an email saying " perfect!" and left me to my own devices. Nevermind the complete lack of ovulation, burgeoning middle weight, tiredness, scaly face, brittle hair. I mean, what the fuck you gays? oh yeah and now my nails are breaking.
So, Im self medicating to see what happens. I have a full container of thyroxine, at least 60 days worth, lets see if it punches the goitre in the face, and smashes through the sluggish lazy metabolic rate.
Or maybe it really IS early menopause. that would suck balls.
Still.... goitre? Yuck! Im not in a frigging 3rd world shanty town here. Or maybe I need to swallow giant bottles of iodine?
I have this by the way: Hashimotos & Hypothyroidism

Excess of iodine will make your condition worse. Some selenium supplementation can be beneficial
hmm! interesting! thanks for the tip. iodine BAAD, selenium good!
Actually.... I think there is a soil deficiency of selenium in NZ... perhaps this is the answer?
At the firs quarter of 20th century most scientists were proud of salt iodization campaign, which reduced incidence of iodine deficient goiters. On the other hand, excess of iodine in the salt is now associated with higher incidences of autoimmune thyroiditis, according to the study among Brazilian population (1998). Now they are REDUCING amount of potassium iodine added to the table salt. The iodine excess in the diet triggers the genetically predisposed auto immune thyroiditis.
