"Lorem ipsum dolor" did you choose this (non)saying yourself or was it left over from the standard page layout and you never changed it? I assume that it is purposeful and originates from your background in design.

It's standard dummy text used by typesetters. While it is actual latin, it doesn't mean anything cool, it is put in place to fill up a layout. It is the publishing equivalent of writing in 'blah, blah, blah'.
'Cogito Ergo Sum' or 'Nosce te ipsum' may be more appropriate for your blog.

Actually these are more fitting: 'Non Compus Mentis' or 'Semper ubi, sub ubi'.
Or on a serious note 'Multi famam, conscientiam pauci verentur'.
