Todays picture is the women in my brothers life... beside his 3 sisters and his mum.
It is safe to say my brother has been seriously outnumbered, by his 3 sisters, 2 daughters, sister in law and 2 neices. Not to mention his wonderful wife to be :)
My neice Lily Mae has just been born, and so Im showing her off with her very awesome bigger sister Ella and her Mummy Gelles.
I just got home from school, spent the morning with my classmate, and was joined by another classmate from Maori and politics. Introducing Letitia and Jodi to each other we got to talking about children, and very quickly realised we were a small circle of 30 something women who have all lost a partner to the throws of death. It was weird.
Letitia and I are suicide survivors, her more recently than myself, and Jodi revealed that at the age of 23 her much older partner died of a heart attack. Its not the kind of circle I expected to find myself sitting inside of at 35. None the less, there I was.
I walked off.....
Its a new day. I am officially a boring old fart, I am listening to talkback at 8 in the morning.
