counting

Im doing alot of that lately, counting of days, of hours, of months, of dollars.

Counting how much hours I have left till my stupid essays are due, how much dollars I need to put away and save for the house insurance and the end of year holiday, counting the weeks till me and the boys get on a plane and see my family in Sydney.

Had presentation for Politics today, it went alright, I can tick that one off the list and ease my mind just abit. Hugh told jokes and Simon was more straight forward and I rushed. And that was it basically.

Traffic was complete arse and Seb spent an hour and a quarter getting home on a journey that normally takes 30 minutes. We just got home from the shopping mall, walked past all the men in the 'cage' of the outside smokers area of Garrisons bar, ranging and preening, sipping beer, looking for a root. the 30 somethings with shared care of kids, no kids, women trying to get kids but haven't found the man, or even the root. Maybe he's in the smokers cage, preening, and having a beer.....

Next is my socio essay, and my Maori essay and bleh, I don't want to.

Seb is rubbing my back, and Im inclined to want to go to bed and rot in front of his laptop and watch movies instead of caring about my academic career.

Kids still not home, feel bad that I like it.
