Sometimes things work out and you are still alive because of it.

My son had his first new school disco last night, I was surprised he was so keen to go, he even managed to persuade a reluctant Yuuto to go with him. I picked him at 8.30pm and having not eaten I asked if he felt like Pizza. We went to Domino's in Onehunga, ordered and got coke at the foodtown on the other side of the shops. At this point I have one of those sliding doors moments in my life. Cole and I get in the car, we drive. I could have chosen to turn right, but I went left.

If I'd taken the right turn, I would have almost certain  been collected by a car fleeing police at precisely the same moment. If' I'd gone right and turned up Church St and gone round the roundabout towards home Im sure beyond reasonable doubt that this car with 4 people in it would have smashed into the side of us and killed Cole and me. Instead they killed 2 of themselves, hitting the roundabout and landing upside down after smashing into a pole. I know beyond reasonable doubt because the way we did choose to drive I saw someone I knew at 9.00pm standing on the roadside, I was about parallel with the accident site, but one street along.

Im greatful I turned left. I never told my other son or my boyfriend I was going to get pizza. They would have never seen us again.
