the last 4 days (not including today)

Friday: laboured the last 300 words in an effort to lunch with Pie, 300 words of pure difficulty. Anyway, I finished my essay dammit, Im not posting it, Im always too embarrased, and besides you'll find it boring.  Having said that, Seb found it interesting... who knows. I do know that the more I watch about my modern world, and the more I read, the less hopeful I am about tempering my explicit involvement in consumption. It makes me want to want nothing, to gain no false pleasure from items I see that make me want them, because its all part of the lie? maybe?

Lunch with pie is always a pleasure though, perhaps the only true pleasure we should seek to fullfill us is that of eating, sleeping, loving and talking.

Saturday: We went to the shops (haha, the irony), because Sunday was Fathers day and Seb was looking for a book for his dad. I bought a Frankie magazine but that was all. mused over Xmas gifts for the kids, looked at stuff, went home. Strugglng to remember the rest of the day... thats why blogging has to be more frequent. oh thats right, I made rissotto, too much wine....

Sunday: In his newly found non smoking attitude, Seb was a fury of housework for the first 4 hours of the day, vacuuming, dishes, bathroom, washing, all done. We then visited his dad, and stopped by Carmels new flat in Parnell. Homeward for dinner, mince and rice, thanks Seb. Happy Fathers day to my Dad too, the last 16 years has been worth all of the 20 years I waited to have you in my life. With a father came a brother and sisters and neices and inlaws and the sum total of my completion. I am very greatful.

Monday: With my Sociology Theory essay ( only 1000 words thank god) looming in a week I am avoiding 'abit', but I can't avoid my lawns. Having said that its not my fault the mower died, but Martin fixed it again, so I was able to attack the garden yesterday. Theres been a pile of rubbish sitting against the fence now for about, oh, 15 years? Im tired of the eyesore, so I started to get rid of it yesterday. I've done about half.  Seb came home and mowed the front part of the garden so I didn't have to, but by the time I was done, it was baked beans on toast for tea because I was too tired for anything else. Bee Movie for evening entertainment with the kids, but '1984' with John Hurt and Richard Burton when they went to bed..  abit heavy.. and confusing???? Seb said it was Orwells idea of communism... or something.... and yet when hes (john Hurt) reading goldstein which appears to reveal the lie.... it might has well be marx's manifesto? aye? communism not communism? Yeah I never read the book, my excuse will be I simply wouldn't have understood it.

Today is Tuesday, its 10am, Im hungry....
