First lecture accomplished

It was over in 30 minutes. surprisingly.

'Guy' ('or you can call me g'ee' he says ... is he serious? is his grandma french?) my lecturer is a short 40 something fantapants with glasses from Milwaukee, he has midwestern tones to his voice, and seems nice enough. A clear imperative lecturer will always win me over. This class is public policy, a necessary one if Im to work in policy research or that ilk at some point, and that has to be better than selling cars judging by the banality I saw today at Giltraps.

Tomorrow is Sociol Families Labour and Love and Maureen Baker, a grey haired, tireless canadian academic. The only thing that concerns me about Academia as a career is the women seem to stop caring about being hot. How completely shallow to say was that. Maureen and Fay, who was my Linguistics lecturer, haven't updated their look since 1976, this is abit of a worry. That said they are both wonderfuly clever women, perhaps they made their partners fall into bed with a whip of their silvery words, never mind the hair do's and the polyester.
