This Week

I can't find the thingy I need to copy photos to my laptop. Its annoying. I will put some photos up when I do eventually locate the thingy.

I went to my nanas this week and helped do some stuff round her house, cleaned the windows on the south side and washed down the weatherboards, and then my mum turned up and we did some heavy pruning of a row of Camellias. My nana is 76, and does an amazing job of maintaining her property virtually on her own. However the time comes when you must acknowledge the body cannot keep up with the mind. I enjoyed spending time just the 3 of us.

Cole had sports day, and so for that matter did Kobi but I couldn't be in two places at once so I elected to support Cole. He came third in both his heats and was very proud to have accomplished a placing, he didn't place in the finals but I told him it was huge to have beaten all the other little boys to be one of the fastest 9 kids in year 4. He also ran in the relay and his class placed 4th by a whisker.

Last night was Harry Potter night. I don't wanna say alot in case I wreck it, but it was heartbreaking some of it, and sad sad sad. Visual effects were fab, jumped out of my seat at least 3 times. Most of it was bleak, challenging, and without the usual upbeat tempo of 'an adventure'. It was the darkest film to date, and deals with the transition into adulthood for Harry, Ron and Hermione, all the harsh glare of adult feelings of guilt, violence, love, sex, and inadequacy. Take tissues, just in case.
